(Natrona County, Wyo.) – The recent disaster events that have occurred throughout the United States, such as Hurricane Sandy, as well as events that have occurred here in Natrona County, such as the Sheep Hill Fire, Severe Winter Storms, and Flash Floods show that Emergency Services can become overwhelmed.

Citizens are needed to supplement these services.

Natrona County Emergency Management will be conducting Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training starting September 24, 2015 from 6:00 pm-8:30 pm.

Training includes: Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Medical Triage and Treatment, Fire Fighting, and Terrorism Awareness.

Classes will be held once a week for nine weeks. The classes will be held on Thursday nights and three Saturday mornings.

All classes are free and open to citizens thirteen years and older.

For further information or to sign up for the class, contact the Natrona County Emergency Management at (307) -235-9205.
