(Casper, Wyo.) – Don’t forget to join the Casper Recreation Division and the Community Recreation Foundation in celebration of the furry, slimy or scaly loved ones in your life at the 2015 Pet Fest.
This FREE event is open to all pets and their people. The Pet Fest will be held at Washington Park in the grassy area southeast of the outdoor pool on Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Pets must be under control and on a leash or in a kennel and must be accompanied by owner at all times.
Schedule of Events:
- 11:00 am Costume Contest – dress up your pets and/or yourselves for prizes.
- 12:00 pm Best Tricks Contest – showcase your pets best tricks for prizes.
- 1:00 pm Fastest Dog Contest – dogs will be timed running 25 yds. through a shoot. Prizes awarded in separate categories for small (under 20#s), medium (21-50#s) and large (over 51#s) dogs.
In addition to the contests for pets and their owners, pet-related vendors will be showing their wares and providing information throughout the event.
Around noon, the Wyoming Missing Canines will have a short memorial for lost or missing dogs. Anyone who has lost a pet recently is invited to participate by tying their pet’s name and sentiment on a tree to be planted at the dog park.
