(Casper, Wyo.) – At approximately 7:56 pm Casper Police Officers responded to E. 2nd Street and S. Lennox Street for an accident.
Dispatch advised that a vehicle had crashed into the old ReMax Building.
Once on scene officers made contact with the driver, identified as Stephen Bennett. Reports indicate that he had no injuries but was showing signs of intoxication.
Reports indicate that Bennett reported to have been drinking and that his driver’s license was suspended. Officers observed Bennett to have glassy/watery eyes, slurred speech, very poor balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person.
Officers continued to question Bennett who reportedly said he had consumed, ‘about a fifth of vodka,’ and that he was incapable of operating a motor vehicle.
Bennett was transported to WMC to be cleared and was then arrested and transported to Natrona County Detention Center and charged with DUI, DUS, and no insurance.
