(Casper, Wyo.) – Due to the City of Casper beginning the Platte River Revival in-river habitat restoration project, the North Platte River will be closed to watercraft (motorized and non-motorized) and floaters from the Paradise Valley Ramp (Begonia Street) to the Mills Bridge Ramp (Wyoming Blvd) beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29.
All other stretches of the river and ramps will remain open.
Several pieces of heavy equipment will be operating in the river and for safety concerns the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will close the river for the duration of the construction. Construction will begin on Sept. 29 with crews working seven days a week to complete the project.
The river will re-open to all watercraft when construction is complete.
