(Casper, Wyo.) – At 5 p.m. on Thursday, the fire was turned back over to the control of the Natrona County Fire Protection District, and firefighters from other agencies were all released.
The more than 9,500-acre fire area is approximately 98 percent contained, Information Officer Bob Fawcett said. Today, locals will see a county unit and a BLM unit patrolling the fire area making sure all of the hot spots are out.
