Arrests:
Casper Police Department
Christopher J Bennett, Casper, suspended/revoked DL, no insurance, no registration.
Austin R Chambers, Casper, possession of controlled substance.
Dale D Engler, Colorado, public intoxication. At approximately 11:18 p.m. Casper Police Officers were dispatched to the area of N. Park Street at the Rescue Mission for an intoxicated male, later identified as Dale D Engler. Officers were advised by Rescue Mission staff that the male was stumbling and outside of the address.
Upon arrival, officers located a male who matched the description given by staff who emerged from the alley north of the Mission. According to reports, officers observed a puddle of wetness where they believed Engler had urinated in the alley.
Officers noted that Engler had blood-shot glassy eyes, slurred speech and odor emanating of alcoholic beverage from his breath and person. Engler reported to officers that he had tried to stay at the Rescue Mission but they denied him entry. When asked why he was denied, he reported, “I don’t know why.” Engler admitted to officers to consuming alcohol that day. He also admitted to urinating in the alleyway.
Engler complied with officers to allow them to search his three backpacks and officers located one unopened 24 ounce can of Camo Black beer. Officers also observed an empty beer can matching the one found during the search in the grass near the sidewalk. When asked about the empty can Engler said, “It’s possible that it is mine.”
Reports indicate that officers arrested Engler for public intoxication and due to his high level of intoxication he was transported to WMC for medical clearance before being transported to NCDC.
