Casper Police arrested a woman for possession of methamphetamine on Saturday, May 5.

Police were dispatched to a house on N. Durbin for a report of a woman “yelling, talking about people watching her” and claiming to have been born in 2011.

When police arrived they found Melanie Wojcik, 56, sitting in the house with another person.

Police noted “Wojcik appeared very fidgety and could not stay still,” according to a police report. She was also observed talking rapidly and nonsensically.

Asked if she had been using a controlled substance, Wojcik said she had been clean from methamphetamine since being released from WBI.

She later admitted to smoking and shooting up “less than 1/4g of methamphetamine” on her birthday. Fresh track marks were observed on her right arm.

Officers were given consent to search the house and found two unused syringes in Wojcik’s purse, which she blamed other people for placing them there. A used syringe was found in the kitchen garbage, which Wojcik also blamed on others.

In a bedroom officers found a lightbulb that had been modified into a meth pipe. Another broken pipe was found in a nightstand box, along with a pen modified into a “tooter”, a device used to snort powder.

Field testing on the lightbulb found evidence of methamphetamine.

Wojcik was taken without incident to the Natrona County Detention Center and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.
