
Reading Between the Notes Book Discussion: High Fidelity

The Natrona County Library’s summer reading book club kicks things off with Nick Hornby’s “High Fidelity.” Stop by our second floor service desk to register and pick up your copy, and then meet us at Sonic Rainbow CD’s ready to share, listen, and shop on Tuesday, June 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. The Library’s music-inspired summer reading program, “Libraries Rock,” runs June 1 through August 31. Adults do not need to register but can pick up a summer reading game board at any branch and online. Summer Reading 2018 is sponsored by the Natrona County Recreation Joint Powers Board, McDonald’s, and Serendipity Café. Meet the Carvey

The Natrona County Library invites you to come meet the Carvey on Wednesday, June 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Creation Station. The Library’s Creation Station, open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 to 5 p.m., is a flexible, community, collaborative makerspace for individuals and small groups who can use STEAM-related (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) supplies and equipment to bring their inventions and creations to life. Doctor Noize

High-energy musical performer Doctor Noize will present a series of shows for kids at the Natrona County Library on Wednesday, June 20 at 1 p.m.; Thursday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.; and Friday, June 22 at 1 and 3 p.m. He will also perform at the Mills Branch on Wednesday, June 20 at 3:30 p.m. Seating is limited, so plan to arrive early. Afternoon Book Club: Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie

An afternoon book discussion, sponsored by the Natrona County Library, will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at Metro Coffee Co. Participants will discuss “Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie” by Jordan Sonnenblick. The group is open to teens in grades 7-8, and new members are always welcome. Participants receive a free drink, courtesy of the Friends of the Library. To participate, pick up a copy of “Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie” in the Teen Zone.
