Three individuals were arrested in Casper on Friday night, June 15th, after it was alleged that they were in possession of illegal drugs, while around as many as seven children.

According to Casper Police Department Records, 29-year-old Brytani Hanley, 28-year-old Amanda Cloutier, and 37-year-old Demetrian Grimes were arrested and booked on recommended charges of Controlled Substance Possession- Methamphetamine and Child Endangering With Drugs.

Police affidavits say that they responded to the Casper Motel 6 on Wilkins Circle, just before 12:30 pm, on Friday, June 15th, 2018. Officers say that the reporting party had advised that individuals were in a room at the motel, and were using controlled substances.

Officers responded to the reported room and made contact with four adults and seven children, inside the hotel.

Three of the adults were identified as Hanley, Cloutier, and Grimes.

Police say that the four adults consented to a search of the room, which yielded the discovery of a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine and three glass pipes containing suspected methamphetamine residue.

All of the adults denied ownership of the contraband, and the cigarette pack that it was found in.

Officers say that they obtained a search warrant for the room, and found other items of paraphernalia, including a glass pipe containing suspected methamphetamine residue and two blue “tooters.”  Police also note that two small plastic baggies containing suspected controlled substances were found in Cloutier’s purse.

The affidavit notes that several items discovered in the search, would have been within reach of any children in the room.

Grimes is said to have denied use or ownership of any methamphetamine found in the room. Hanley and Cloutier, however, admitted to police that three of the four adults, including Grimes, had smoked methamphetamine earlier in the morning, outside of the hotel room.

Grimes, Hanley and Cloutier were arrested and taken to the Natrona County Detention Center without further reported incident.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
