A Casper woman was arrested on recommended charges of Methamphetamine and Marijuana possession, after she was identified and arrested for an outstanding warrant.
According to law enforcement Records, 23-year-old Taylor Ann Swingholm was arrested and booked into the Natrona County Detention Center, during the afternoon hours of July 6th. In addition to the recommended drug charges, jail records indicate that a Failure to Appear charge and a Hold for Probation and Parole were recommended.
An arrest affidavit in the case indicates that Casper Police made contact with Swingholm, as part of an investigation into a civil issue involving ownership of a pickup truck.
During that investigation, Swingholm was contacted by police, and found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Evansville.
Police say that during the arrest, Swingholm admitted to officers that she had a pipe on her person, and ultimately surrendered a pipe that had suspected methamphetamine residue inside.
Officers also reported finding an improvised marijuana smoking apparatus in Swingholm’s purse. The device was alleged to contain suspected methamphetamine residue.
Police transported Swingholm to the detention center without further reported incident.
