
A Casper woman was arrested and faces a recommended charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, after the woman was found with a suspected methamphetamine pipe.
According to Casper Police Department paperwork, officers with the CPD were patrolling the area of F Street, near North Center, when they observed a person they believed to have an active warrant.
Officers made contact with 31-year-old Latoya Moore, of Casper.
An arrest affidavit in the case says that Moore told officers that she was aware of a warrant on her, for missing court.
During the course of investigation, officers searched Moore’s purse after Moore gave consent. During the search, police recovered a small bundle that Moor identified as a methamphetamine pipe. Officers say that once the bundle was opened, a glass pipe was found inside, with suspected methamphetamine residue.
The police affidavit goes on to say that Moore said she had two prior convections for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Further, police say that Moore is currently on probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance, as of January of 2018.
Moore was transported to the Natrona County Detention Center without further reported incident.
She faces recommended charges of Controlled Substance Possession- Meth and Failure to Appear.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
