Two Natrona County women were arrested on August 16th, after Natrona County Sheriff’s Deputies say that the women admitted to possessing controlled substances.
According to an affidavit from the NCSO, Billie June Scott, age 43 of Evansville, and Danielle Campos, age 38, of Casper were arrested during the evening hours of Thursday.
Scott faces a recommended charge of Controlled Substance Possession- Methamphetamine.
Campos faces recommended charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, and a warrant for Failure to Comply.
The NCSO paperwork says that deputies received information that Campos was living at an address in the 1700 block of East 15th Street in Casper. Deputies say that Campos had a confirmed warrant for Probation Violation out of Natrona County Circuit Court.
Sheriffs officials arrived at the address with agents from the Wyoming Department of Probation and Parole.
Law enforcement says that they made contact with Scott and Campos in the home.
Deputies say that Campos said that she had anticipated getting a warrant and that she had not felt like reporting to her probation officer yet. Deputies note that, during questioning, Campos exhibited physical symptoms of recent stimulant use.
The affidavit goes on to say that Campos stated she possessed a small amount of marijuana and may have a glass pipe for smoking methamphetamine.
A search of the home yielded a small paper bindle with suspected methamphetamine, located on a couch where Scott had been seated. Deputies say that Scott admitted to owning the bindle.
Deputies also located a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue located where Campos had been seated. Campos is said to have claimed ownership of the pipe.
Other items found in the home include three glass pipes with suspected methamphetamine residue, a marijuana cigarette, a small case containing suspected marijuana, and a baggy of suspected methamphetamine residue.
The two women were arrested and transported to the Natrona County Detention Center without further reported incident.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
