(Casper, Wyo.) The Casper College Continuing Education Department is offering a special two-hour workshop, “Autism: Hyper-Sensory Workshop” on either Tuesday, July 14 or Wednesday, July 15 from 6-8 p.m.
Taught by Connie Bell-Mayers, the workshop will allow students to “experience a real classroom from the perspective of a student with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).” Sensory integration issues, overload of students on the spectrum, and how to foster the development of socially acceptable coping strategies will also be explored during the workshop.
