Arrests:

Kenneth J Avey Jr., Casper, public intoxication, open container.
At approximately 10:40 am officers responded to 307 E. 2nd Street in regard to a public intoxication complaint. The reporting party stated that she could see a couple males drinking from what appeared to be a whiskey bottle.
Officers arrived on scene and contacted a male, identified as Kenneth J Avey, along the walking path north of the Nicholaysen Art Museum. Officers observed Avey’s eyes were bloodshot and officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Avey’s person.
Avey agreed to submit a breath sample, where he recorded a .262% BAC according to court documents. Officers placed Avey in handcuffs and upon searching him officers discovered a nearly empty 200 ml bottle of Potters Vodka stuffed inside Avey’s right sock. Officers took Avey to WMC to get medical attention where reports indicate that Avey pretended to faint and collapsed as he was getting out of the patrol car. After officers informed Avey they did not believe his act, he revived and cooperated.
