(Casper, Wyo.) – Late migratory bird (duck and goose) seasons and a variety of licensing proposals will be presented at a series of public meetings to be held during August and September in various locations throughout the state. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invites the public to attend or comment on the proposals.

New proposals include increasing the daily canvasback limit from one to two and adjusting opening dates to start on Saturdays. Other proposals include designating 80 percent of the limited quota sandhill crane quota to residents (currently residents and nonresidents draw against the same quota), expanding the Super Tag Raffle application period, creating a resident lifetime archery license, and allowing for the reservation of all full-price big or trophy game licenses to the following year for good cause.

Of interest to boaters, the Game and Fish is proposing to allow boaters to present their Aquatic Invasive Species decal receipt, including electronic copies on a smart phone, in lieu of the decal for 15 days following purchase. Another proposal would allow owners of more than one non-motorized watercraft to purchase only the number of decals needed for the number of boats they have on the water at one time and transfer AIS decals between non-motorized watercraft they own.

Interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the following public meetings:

Aug. 19 Pinedale 6 p.m. Game and Fish Office

Aug. 20 Cody 6 p.m. Bighorn Federal Bank
