(Casper, Wyo.) – Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, Sept 1, 2015, from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm join Stage III Community Theater for auditions for the next performances.
Author/Directors Heather Judd and Ron Richard will be holding auditions at the same time, at Stage III.
Heather’s Unraveling, is this year’s Winner of the Artcore one act play competition. Ron has written a new reader’s theatre play, Beyond the Horizon: Tales of Exploration, for the Stage III/Casper Planetarium co-production of Theatre of the Mind
Unraveling is the story of Penelope, wife of the ancient Greek hero Odysseus, known for her steadfast faithfulness. But what inner struggles must she have endured while waiting twenty years for her husband to return home? This short drama deals with the questions and possibilities that hope arouses in the human heart and the persistence of hope even when all seems hopeless.
Parts are available for up to five women and five men, ranging from older teenagers to 60’s. Most parts will not require a heavy rehearsal commitment. Beyond the Horizon: Tales of Exploration– four historic adventures (Hanno, Marco Polo, Columbus, and Captain Cook) retold in a space-faring setting.
Performance dates Oct. 22 – 25
Reader’s theatre – no memorizing required! Need 8 actors, a narrator, and 2 foley(live sound effects). There are many roles in the show, so all actors will play multiple parts.
