On Saturday, August 22nd Casper Police Officers were dispatched to SE Wyoming BLVD the Flying J with reference to a public intoxication. The reporting party,the manager of the Flying J advised dispatch that the suspect was asleep to the rear of the business and that he had several stolen items from the business in his possession.
Once on scene, according to reports, officers contacted the male, later identified as Eugene Spaur, asleep behind the business. Officers noticed three Meadow Gold 14 oz milks, one TruMoo 14 oz chocolate milk, two pairs of Golden Optics sunglasses, one pair of Envy Brown reading glasses, two pairs of Envy Black reading glasses lying next to him.The total amount of the items was $78.11.
Officers asked Spaur if he had purchased the items and he advised that he took the items without paying for them earlier in the evening.
Due to the fact that Spaur advised officers that he was not from Casper and that he would be leaving Casper to head to Arizona in the next few days, and that he admitted to stealing the items, Spaur was transported to NCDC and booked for shoplifting.

Casper Police Department responded to 354 calls over the weekend including one animal problem, three assaults, fifteen disturbances, three drugs, three family fights, six fights, four frauds, three hit and runs, four loud music, and four public intoxication.

Calls:
Natrona County Sheriff’s Office responded to 112 calls including one search and rescue assistance call at Alcova Lake for a report of a male and female stuck in the middle of the lake. NCSO Deputies checked the entire lake but were unable to locate anyone in distress Friday, August 21st around 5:35 pm.
Deputies also responded to S. Poplar and S. Garden Creek for a report of several cows on the road.
They also responded to and are currently investigating a report of stolen property. $620 worth of tools were reported stolen.
