On Friday, June 12th at approximately 10:21 pm Casper Police Department officers responded to the area of 21st and Frances, in a response to a disturbance. Court documents show that officers were advised that a female was in the area of the Strong Tower Church screaming that she had been knocked out, choked and needed help. Officers were also advised that William C Tucker was the suspect and he was attempting to walk away from the area.
Upon arrival in the area, officers observed a male walking east on 21st that matched the description of William Tucker. Officers approached the male and he identified himself as William Tucker and that he was the man they were looking for. Reports indicate that Tucker stated that he had been drinking and was just in a fight with his girlfriend. He stated that his girlfriend and him were fighting over their relationship and did not want to discuss what started the fight. He continued to report to officers that during their fight he broke both of their phones. He initially denied hitting his girlfriend.
Officers then spoke with Tucker’s girlfriend who reported according to court documents, she stated that Tucker wanted to get something to eat when they were driving home after work. She just wanted to go home and relax which made him angry and they began to argue. She continued to report that during the argument Tucker threw his phone out the window, she pulled over and told him to get out of the vehicle and she went home without him.
He eventually returned to the residence and banged on the door because she had locked him out of the residence. Reports indicate that she let him and he was civil and gave her a flower. However, shortly after Tucker began calling her names and the two began to argue again. He began to tell her to punch him in the face and he proceeded to punch himself in the face according to court documents. Tucker then grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground. He then got on top of her and continued to choke her his hands and face. The woman reported that she wasn’t sure how long Tucker choked her but felt like it was about thirty seconds. She stated that he eventually released her and she proceeded to try to call her brother. Tucker grabbed the phone and threw it into the street. The woman ran out of the residence screaming for help.
Officers then found Tucker and arrested him for domestic battery, strangulation of household member.
