(Casper, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of law enforcement activity from around Natrona County from over the past 24 hours. All those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges filed are subject to change following official filling from Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.

Male Juvenile Offender, failure to appear.

Marshall E Friday, Casper, shoplifting. At approximately 1:18 pm Casper Police Officers responded to 2nd Street Walmart for a report of a shoplifting call. While en route to the location, officers observed a male matching the description from dispatch who was running west through the Burger King parking lot. Officers made contact with the male in the Arby’s parking lot, according to reports.

Officers spoke with the man who identified himself as Marshall E Friday. Friday admitted to officers that he was in Walmart but denied stealing anything. He advised officers that he had selected a shirt and pants and walked to the register. Reports show that Friday told officers that when the items were rang up at the register his debit card was declined. Reports show that this angered Friday to the point he yelled and “snapped his debit card in two.” He told officers that he left the items in their respective plastic bags and walked out of the store. Officers questioned Friday as to why he was running, and he said that he was cold and trying to get warm.

Officers then spoke with the loss prevention officers at Walmart who reported that they watched Friday and three other individuals who all came into the store together. Friday began selecting items from within the store. The loss prevention officers watched as Friday selected a turkey, a sports watch and a boneless half pound pork loin.

It was reported that after selecting the items he began bagging them with his own Walmart bags from his pants pocket. Friday also handed several of the bags off to three individuals who were originally with him. After bagging his own groceries, Friday reportedly exited the store.

Once outside loss prevention officers attempted to stop Friday, where it was reported in court documents that he threw the bags of merchandise on the ground then fled. Loss prevention officers requested that Friday be trespassed from Walmart and be charged with shoplifting. The total amount of stolen goods was reported as $51.87.
