Before the parade Tuesday morning, families came out in full force to support the fallen soldiers of Wyoming.

The annual Casper Chase kicked off with a Fun Run for the kids before the 5k began.

Near the end of the route, participants ran through flag-lined streets and viewed the Soldiers’ Mile; photographs of each fallen soldier from Wyoming were displayed alongside a flag and a member of the Patriot Guard to honor their service.

Each soldier had at least one person running the race in their honor.

240 runners participated in the 5k and over 40 children ran the Fun Run.
