Tuesday, August 21, Wyoming will host its primary election, and the day is right around the corner.

The polls will be open around the state from 7 am to 7 pm.

Offices up for election include Governor, U.S. Representative, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State, as well as more local positions in Wyoming communities.

According to an official with the County Clerk’s office, exercising your right is very important; “One vote does matter, so if you have a strong opinion on something you need to vote” as the elected officials are “the people that shape your daily life.”

Voters who registered for Wyoming’s 2016 General Election are already registered to vote in the 2018 election.

For those not yet registered in Natrona County and those who did not vote in the last general election, citizens can register at their polling locations on Election Day.

A driver’s license is needed to register.

Polling locations based on home address can be found using the Polling Place Locator, at the Secretary of State’s website.

Can’t make it to the polls on Election Day? Absentee ballots may be requested at any point prior to the day of the election through the County Clerk’s office. The absentee ballot must be returned to the County Clerk, in-person or by mail, by 7 pm on Election Day.

For any additional questions, contact the Natrona County Clerk at 307-235-9217. The General elections will be held November 6, 2018.
