RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) — First fire dangers, then snow and cold.
Forecasters are warning that strong winds and low humidity levels across southeastern Wyoming have created the potential for wildfires to start or become more erratic.
A red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday will continue through Monday evening for the area.
Wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are expected.
Meanwhile, a winter weather advisory is in place through Tuesday morning for portions of northwest Wyoming and Montana, including Yellowstone National Park and the Absaroka mountains.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the 40s with up to eight inches of snow forecast at high elevations.
