(Casper, Wyo.) – Train Ugly basketball camp and program coming the Oil City!

Casper native and Lander Valley High School graduate, Trevor Ragan, is returning to the Oil City July 20-23 and July 28-31 to bring his Train Ugly basketball camp and program to local athletes and the community.

“We are bringing the science of sports to the community. It’s not just about basketball, we are coming to educate and inspire our athletes. Teaching them how the brain works and how to have an impact and to succeed in any activity,” said Ragan.

Ragan and a strong group of coaches across the nation have been working to study the science of sports and apply them to players.

The last four years, Ragan has worked with the US Olympic Volleyball team and many other sports team and has presented his program to many college universities.

“I always like to come back to Wyoming with Train Ugly. This program was started here and it’s becoming something bigger than sports. The players, the coaches, teachers and parents all love it. Everyone can learn something from our program.”

Train Ugly is just finishing up a tour in Lander, Cody and Lovell and bringing the program back to Casper.

Ragan continued to report that more than 4,000 coaches across the nation follow the program and are implementing it into their programs.

The Train Ugly program will be held Tuesday, July 21st -23rd at Kelly Walsh High School for Natrona County middle and high school students and parents, teachers and coaches are invited to attend the workshops.

The following week, July 28th-31st, Natrona County girls’ middle and high school students are invited to attend the program.

“The biggest thing that Train Ugly brings is teaching young athletes, parents, coaches and teachers is how learning works. We aren’t just teaching these kids new basketball moves, we are teaching them about how their brains work and how they can achieve success in everything that they do.”

The community is  invited to attend the workshops to listen and learn with the players.
