
(Wyoming) – The Wyoming Suicide Prevention Task Force provided us with five key ways you can help someone struggling with Depression and thoughts of Suicide:
1. Take suicide threats seriously and take immediate action.
2. Be calm and non-judgmental.
3. Encourage the person to share his/her feelings.
4.Speak to them with care and compassion.
5. Never leave a suicidal person alone.
Make sure to contact a reliable family member or close friend and follow up to make sure the person is getting the help they need.
