A special Raptor Rap field trip will take place on Thursday, Aug. 20 to see osprey fledgling on the North Platte River at 4 p.m.

“Community naturalist Zach Hutchinson will be hosting this special session of Raptor Rap. We invite everyone to join us at the foot bridge over the North Platte River near the Casper soccer fields where Zach will take us on an expedition to see osprey fledgling,” said India Hayford, museum assistant.

Raptor Rap is a family-friendly program for all ages, especially designed for those who are “fascinated with eagles, owls, hawks, and other birds of prey and interested in getting to know more about them and meeting people who share their interests,” noted Hayford.

Raptor Rap is free and open to the public. Reservations for the field trip are appreciated, but not necessary, according to Hayford. For more information, contact the museum at 307-235-2108.
