Dispatch: Man arrested for public intoxication in Natrona County Park; Intoxicated male found in bushes near the Parkway Plaza

(Casper, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of law enforcement activity from around Natrona County over the weekend. All those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges filed are subject to change following official filling from Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.

Casper Police Department

Arrests:

Shelby R Ballew, Casper, DWUI, possession of controlled substance, wrongful take.

Bryce W Baltezar, Casper, attempt to elude, DWUS, wrongful take.

Cody M Brenner, Casper, failure to appear.

Kathleen A Cottle, Casper, DWUI.

Katie L Donnelly, Casper, failure to appear.

Henry  G Espinoza, suspended/revoked DL, no insurance, improper registration.

Jonathan C Gomez, Colorado, trespassing.

Kalob C Hall, Casper, two failure to complies, possession of controlled substance.

Jared P Lopez, Casper, DWUI.

Bo W McKinney, Casper, failure to appear, criminal warrant.

Robert I Miller Jr., Casper, Criminal Bench Warrant.

Male Juvenile Offender, interference w/PO, shoplifting.

Teresa A Rodgers, Natrona County, Domestic Battery.

Timothy R Staples, Casper, public intoxication.

On Saturday, August 15th CPD officers were dispatched to the Parkway Plaza for a report of an auto burglary. The reporting party was with the Parkway Plaza staff and advised that security personnel had observed a male break into a vehicle and steal a tool box and flee the area.

Officers arrived on scene and met with security personnel who advised that the suspect was last seen walking west of Old Town.

Officers began searching for the suspect along the river when they heard movement from the brush along the river bank and then located the suspect, later identified as Timothy R. Staples laying face down in the brush, according to court records. Officers detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Staples breath. Staples advised officers that he had passed out in the weeds to due being intoxicated.

Reports indicate that Staples had difficulty maintaining his balance, his speech was slightly slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and watery.

Dispatch advised that Staples was currently on probation. Staples provided a breath sample to officers where he recorded a .07% BAC and he was arrested and transported to the Natrona County Detention Center for public intoxication.

Total Arrests Reported: 19

Calls:

Casper Police Department responded to 366 calls including one animal bite, one animal noise, three assaults, eighteen disturbances, three drugs, seven family fights, three fights, two fireworks, two fuel spills, eight loud music complaints, and five public intoxication.

Michaele D Stanley, intoxication in a county park domestic battery, strangulation of household member.

On Sunday, August 16th at approximately 9:10 pm Natrona County Sheriff’s Office were on duty investigating a domestic assault at the Robert L. Adams Memorial Archery Range on Casper Mountain. The Archery Range is a Natrona County Park.

Reports indicate that during the investigation Deputizes contacted Michael Stanley. Upon initial contact Stanley was asleep in his tent. When Deputies escorted Stanley out of his tent they noticed that he was unsteady on his feet, had red rimmed eyes, and had a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from him.

Stanley admitted to drinking heavily. Deputies had Stanley blow through a portable breath analyzer which rendered a positive result of .33% BAC.

Deputies arrested Stanley  for being intoxicated in a Natrona County Park and transported him to Natrona County Detention Center for that charge as well as charged related to the domestic assault reported.

Michal P Lindberg, simple assault, criminal trespass, pedestrian under the influence.

Tatiana E Shryock, serve jail time.

Cody M Oden, bond revocation, failure to appear.

Mistie S Moyer, serve jail time.

 

Calls:

Natrona County Sheriff’s Office responded to 98  calls including a wild land fire near Fremont Canyon Road,  two thefts on Bruce Lane, an illegal burning on Garden Creek, loud music complaint, and three disturbances.
