(Jackson, Wyo.) – This summer, the #BisonSelfie became poplar and it is exposing some truly terrifying photos. It is so popular that the hashtag has more than 420 posts on Instagram.
They may look domestic, cute and fuzzy, but make no mistake that this wild animal will gore you with all of its 2,000-pounds. Just ask this woman, who was gored in July. The 43-year-old woman from Mississippi was injured when she turned her back on a bison to get a photo with it in Yellowstone National Park.
Don’t get us wrong, some #BisonSelfie photos are perfectly safe.
Like this one with a mounted bison
Or this one with an *actual* soft and fuzzy bison
Or this one taken at a safe distance from inside a vehicle
But some just get too close for comfort (and for safety!). Here are some #BisonSelfies that look a little sketchy to us.
Like this one with a #BisonSelfieStick.
Or this bison that looks a little close…
And this one that is just WAY too close for comfort
This one may not be real, but if it is, it’s SCARY!
And then there is this one, which is just weird…
Here at Buckrail, we encourage safe #BisonSelfies!
